I also want to remind you about the Lung Love Run/Walk coming up on Saturday, June 23rd at Laurelhurst Park in Portland. We are raising awareness, and funding for lung cancer research. Lung cancer kills almost twice as many women as breast cancer, yet breast cancer receives over seven times as much funding per life lost. Lung cancer receives the lowest funding of any of the major cancers, yet kills more people than the next three leading cancers combined. We don’t want to take funding away from the other cancers.
